Mendoza: terroir of great wines
Located in central-western Argentina at the foot of Aconcagua (the highest peak in the Americas in the Andes Mountains), the province of Mendoza boasts arid, stony Andean soils with excellent drainage that lend complexity to its wines.
The dry, sunny climate favors optimal grape ripening. The pure water from the melting snow in the Andes contains minerals that benefit the vines. Mendoza's vineyards are located at an altitude of between 800 and 1,500 meters above sea level, which contributes to the grapes' value.
